Gun RestrictionsFistful of BBs takes place in the Old West; as such, players are encouraged to look and act the part.  Weapons are restricted to airsoft guns that are spring-powered, manually cycled (pump, bolt, single-shot, or lever-action), revolvers (including double-action), or other replicas that are appropriate to this time period.  This game involves players interacting with each other in close proximity.  Modern and magnified optics are forbidden, so you'll have to trust your irons!  If you are unsure whether your replica fits these rules, please email larspetersonhic@gmail.com for approval.  We have over 100 amazing loaners available for you to borrow for FREE:
Ammunition RestrictionsEach player will start with a total of only 30 rounds of ammo, but more may be acquired during the game.  You are not allowed to add more from your personal airsoft collection.  Also, you are not allowed to pick up old loose BBs from the field or reuse the BBs that you have already fired during this game.
Dress CodeYour clothing and gear should represent the time period and atmosphere of this game as cowboys, cowgirls, etc.  Do not show up in any modern military kit.  A button-up shirt and jeans are easy and acceptable.  We have plenty of shirts and hats to loan out.
Cash & WalletsPrior to the start of the game, each player will be given a wallet that contains starting cash that totals $10 in play money.  Whenever you have cash on your person, it must be kept in your wallet.  You may not hide your cash elsewhere on the field.Cash may be used for in-game purchases, gambling, looting, and such.  You may spend it at the General Store to buy more ammo and other goods.  At the Saloon, you may gamble or buy sarsaparilla. You may earn more money by collecting pelts for the local rancher, helping the railroad baron, collecting bounties for the sheriff, committing crimes for one of the two local outlaw gangs, or finding gold to bring to the Bank.

Boffer RequirementFor this event, you must possess and use an approved boffer (safe plastic or foam blade replica) in order to perform a knife-kill.  Saying "knife-kill" while tapping someone on the shoulder with a finger should not be acknowledged as a hit by the targeted person.
Shared Self-RespawnsAll players will share the same five self-respawn poles located at Harris Bridge, Sofa Chair, South Bridge, Trailhead to MAC, and Zombie Stump.  Do not attack enemy players when they happen to be respawning near the same time and at the same self-respawn location as you.  Instead, just move away peacefully in separate directions.  These locations are marked with orange crosses on the following map:

LootingDuring the three-minute sit time after getting hit, you must pull out the highest denomination cash bill from your wallet to give to the first enemy who gets close enough to take it even if they aren't the shooter.  You must remain seated for the full three minutes regardless of when the money was taken.  If no enemy gets to you within those first three minutes, you do not need to give away the money even if you’ve decided to wait longer for a friendly player to respawn you in place.  Show the enemy the time on your wristwatch as proof that it is beyond three minutes.  If you're broke, show the enemy your empty wallet. 🤣
Duels & JudgesThroughout the game, players may challenge each other to duels.  Each duel must be judged by a third player who is trusted by both parties.  The duelers must agree to the terms of the duel with regard to how much money is at stake, weapons used, positioning, pacing, distance, number of bullets, signaling to fire, taking turns to fire versus quick draw, etc.  If money is wagered, each dueler will give the agree-upon amount in advance to the judge who will determine the winner and distribute the cash per the terms of the duel after it is over.
Radio CommunicationEveryone who has a two-way radio may use Channel 1 (462.5625 MHz) throughout this event in order to report real-world emergencies, hear announcements, and ask about game rules.  VOX mode, hot mic-ing, and channel jamming are all prohibited.  Please familiarize yourself with your radio and program in its channels before arriving at the field.
RecruitmentAfter the game begins, there will be opportunities for you to join an outlaw gang or to be deputized by the town sheriff.
GoalFor those of you who are playing to win, the individual with the most money at the end will be the winner!
